Anyone know if they plan to have an option to turn of those lame AIMExpressions?

i dont like the new aim 5 beta very much, they should stick to the 4.8 versions and continue developing for that

the only feature i like is the typing indicater.
does anyone know if the typing indicater works for all versions of aim?
lets say im using 5.0b and my friend is using 3.5 or someother version of aim that isnt 5.0b. will i still be able to tell when they are typing?

when i was using 5.0b, and was talking to a 4.8 buddy, i couldnt see the typing indicator

Hey people, Im new here. AIM + is the BEST THING EVER!!!! I just wanted to say this so bad....AIM UPGRADES THE MOST USELESS STUFF!!!!...Have they not figured out that it is everyone doesnt use their stock ticker? if i was to look for my stock..i wouldnt want to use aim to check my stocks..i would have ameritrade or somethin. And why are they not upgrading the profile and html limits? No wonder THEIR own stock is down...maybe if they tried using input from their users they might have a better product and attract interest from yahoo users and icq users.

my question was reguarding the person using aim 5b, and talking with someone with a lower version. will i still be able to see when they are typing. and they guy be4 u answered it.

um wasnt aim5 just released a week ago? cant ppl just wait. its all rush rush. remember its all about quality!!

i guess we're spoiled cause the previous AIM+ versions came out accompanying the AIM versions within short days... sometimes it would come out the same day the new AIM comes out

The official release of AIM is currently 4.8... 5.0 is still in beta.

That's probably a reason they're holding off on any sort of release.

Looking forward to their newest release though

Especially if it includes the tabs
